Brooke is the Head of Advocacy & Policy at RCSA, the peak industry body for the recruitment and staffing sector in Australia and New Zealand. RCSA represents over 1000 corporate and individual members who source, screen and place hundreds of thousands of workers with business every year, across every industry in the labour market.
An experienced Public Affairs leader, Brooke has worked in Corporate and Public Affairs across a range of organisations in industries including agriculture, education, environment, aviation, health and now employment.
Brooke is a strong advocate for the vital role that non-traditional and flexible labour plays within the labour market, addressing unexpected and short-term staffing needs, in meeting surge requirements and in providing specialist skills or services..

Get Ready for the IR Changes: What you really need to know about how the Government’s new IR laws will impact the staffing firm operating model
This session will provide a high-level overview of changes coming in the second half of this year as part of the Closing Loopholes Legislation. Brooke will discuss the implications for recruitment and staffing businesses from new Same Job, Same Pay laws, changes to Casual employment and changes that affect engagement of independent contractors. She will also touch on a range of other changes in the package including criminal sanctions for wage underpayment, minimum standards for some gig workers and new Right to Disconnect laws.
